What If Both Parents Have A History Of Causing Domestic Violence?

Video Transcription:

If both parents have a history of committing domestic violence, it likely won’t matter. The court is only concerned about whether or not there was domestic violence in the most recent incident that is being presented to it. If a person goes for a protective order and they’ve had violence committed against them, then the court will be duty bound to read the facts about what happened right now, not what might have happened six months ago, a year ago, although that might play into the court’s determination on whether or not a protective order, an injunction for protection against domestic violence, should issue.
