What Is Statutory Rape?

Video Transcription:

Simply put, statutory rape is having sex with a minor. Sex with someone less than the legal age. And it doesn’t matter if that individual shows you a license, a driver’s license that claims to be 20 years old, let’s say. If they’re only 14, then you can be charged with statutory rape and convicted. Consent is not a defense.
